Deborah Underwood is currently the "Technological and Organizational Guru" of INNOVA. Her position as Business Manager is diverse; running the entire office, client consulting support, project management training and development, technology updates, financial management, upkeep of equipment, materials, marketing support and computer support. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI®.
Deborah came to INNOVA in February of 1994 after relocating from Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was a welcome move since most of her immediate family lives in the area.
She attended Junior High and High School in Raleigh and then matriculated to North Carolina State University as a Business Management major with a concentration in Marketing. After waiting tables for four years in college, fencing on the North Carolina State Team and having all the fun a college student can possibly have, she began her career in food service in a brokerage firm for 3.5 years, then worked as a Marketing/Chain Accounts Coordinator in sales with a food service distributor for another 3.5 years. Deborah has experience in accounting, project management, sales, customer service and office management.
Finally, after searching for a long-term, challenge-oriented, proactive environment, INNOVA became Deborah's home away from home.
Deborah enjoys the continual growth and satisfaction that working with INNOVA clients provides. She relishes the opportunity to create a feeling of value-added self worth for herself and others.
Deborah is married to Kevin and has a wonderful daughter, Jorden, who is 14 years old.
