Ron earned his masters degree from Michigan State University in Instruction Development and Technology. His bachelor’s degree is in Education from Central Michigan University.
Ron is married and lives in Birmingham, Michigan with his wife, Elaine. Ron’s main interest outside of work is the restoration of his wife’s classic 1965 Chevrolet and supporting the annual Woodward Ave Dream Cruise.
Ron began work as an educator. Ron has worked as a training supervisor, managed a staff of instructional designers for technical training, and been responsible for accreditation of training programs. He has worked for Chrysler Defense Engineering (currently General Dynamics Land Systems) and DTE Energy. In the late 1980’s and early 90’s, Ron’s work at DTE Energy evolved in many directions including successful work in Leadership and Management Development, Continuous and Process Improvement, Coaching, Union Management Partnership building, Change Management and Human Resources. Prior to leaving DTE Energy, Ron worked as an Executive and Supervisory leadership coach for various Business Units.
Ron has been an associate of INNOVA Group since 2001. He has been a facilitator and coach of the Developmental Leadership Program. In addition, Ron provides intervention support for Process Development and Project Management training interventions. Ron’s project management focus has been the application of professional project management standards to work processes in addition to training to pass the PMP examination. His work experiences in the automobile, defense, utility and manufacturing industry are diverse and range from program design and development to delivery and program follow-up.
He provides a comprehensive design, development and delivery repertoire of advisory, training and consultative support. Ron also possesses wide-ranging and diverse experience in dealing with organizational governance issues. He has worked with executives, management teams and plant floor supervision in improving their process and project management capabilities. Supplementing these experiences, Ron has coached and counseled all levels of management and employees in the use of Developmental Leadership. These efforts include classroom instruction, one-on-one coaching and extensive team building interventions.
