Education
Tim earned his doctoral degree from North Carolina State University in 1975 in Adult Education and Psychology. His masters degree is in Management from West Virginia University and he attended Marshall University for advanced study. As an undergraduate, he focused on the Social and Physical Sciences at Glenville State College.

Work Experience
Tim began work as an educator. For personal development, he changed his career focus and obtained a job in research and development at the National Laboratory for Higher Education and later worked with the National 4-H Foundation. In the early 1970's, he took a position with North Carolina State Government. In the mid 70's, Tim joined Carolina Power & Light Company to develop and implement organization and management development programs. In the mid 80's, he began his own consulting firm, INNOVA Group, Inc. His work experience spans the horizon from employee to company president. He has worked in every work environment from shop floor to boardroom. His work focus has always been to help others achieve their potential and improve quality of organizational life.

Advisory Experiences
Throughout Tim's working career, he has assisted trade associations, professional associations and companies in developing educational and training programs. Some of the organizations he has worked with include Southeastern Electric Exchange, Edison Electric Institute, North Carolina Superintendent's Council, the Beverly Foundation, Care Enterprises, Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, North Carolina Criminal Justice Association, Institute of Industrial Engineers, Data Processing Management Association and others.

Vendor and Consultant Associations
Tim has worked with or been associated with large and small consulting organizations dealing with organization development training and/or management consulting. Several of these associations include: Levinson Institute; Kepner Tregoe; Wilson Learning; Management Analysis Corporations; Theodore Barry & Associates; Center for Creative Leadership; Rohrer, Hilber, and Repagle, Inc.; McKinsey & Company, Educational Services, Inc., and others.

Awards and Recognition
During Tim's graduate career, he was an EPDA fellow at North Carolina State University and has since received recognition from organizations such as the American Society for Training and Development, Project Management Institute, North and South Carolina State Governments, and the Engineering Advancement Association of Japan. Most recently he was selected as a member of Who's Who in Executive and Professional Managers.

University Associations
In addition to his responsibilities as President of his own consulting firm, Tim has also been an adjunct professor at North Carolina State University. He has worked with the Executive Development Program at Duke University Fuqua School of Business, as well as other university business management departments.

Consulting Experiences
Over the last decade, Tim and his firm have consulted with a variety of business enterprises. His experience spans a berth of businesses such as Federal, State and Local Government Departments, Regulatory Agencies, Hospitals, Engineering and Consulting Firms, Utilities, Manufacturing Plants and Retailing Businesses. His consulting experiences include domestic and international organizational interventions to improve organizational competitiveness, enhancement of organizational quality of life, and facilitation of improvements in organizational leadership and management.
